If you live long enough and hard enough you are bound to experience both sides of life.  If you take chances on people and face challenges head on you will know victory and you will know pain.  You see, I have been decent for most of my life.  But everything changed one dark night when my rose-colored glasses were slapped off my face forever.  I am sure I will never see the world in the same light again, but I must figure out how to see the flowers and not just the manure they are planted in.  Life can be a lot like manure at times, but it is nature’s miracle that allows beauty to grow out of shit.

I'm a self-made mad man hell bent on a rock n' roll life style.  I've never met a glass of whiskey nor a woman that could satisfy me.  I've done lines backstage, ecstasy on airplanes, spent time in County lock-ups, and gone to the edge more times than I can recall.   Austin Ink is not for the timid.  It's about real people and real events.  I only changed the names to protect the guilty.  Enjoy. --SM
